Rotoflex Slitting Machine

Rotoflex is a global leader in offline finishing solutions. From the most basic slitting and label inspection to the most advanced die cutting requirements, Rotoflex has a machine suitable for the converter’s needs.

The company’s rich history began in 1973 when Rotoflex International began to produce rotary tooling and later, converting equipment for the label printing industry. Starting with Canadian and US manufacturing facilities, Rotoflex expanded to Germany, France, and South Africa, soon to see machine sales in over 75 countries.

Rotoflex pioneered the first vertical inspection slitting and rewinding machine in the early 1970’s, introducing it to the label market at Labelexpo Americas in Chicago. As the first prototype machine to prove the possibility of vertical inspection and razor blade slitting, it became the new standard in label slitting and rewinding. Today, the VSI series of high speed inspection, slitting, and rewinding machines is the most well-recognized and accepted throughout the world.

Rotoflex established itself as a leader in web tension management with the development of it’s exclusive eDrive system, which offers a number of benefits including consistent performance, low maintenance, lower tension/higher speeds, easy job set up and operation. This system is offered on the full line of Rotoflex slitter/rewinders and die cutters.

The innovation of the company resulted in the honor of receiving the 2007 Continuous Innovation Award during the 4th Annual Label Industry Awards at Labelexpo Europe 2007. Sponsored by Labels & Labeling, Label & Narrow Web, and NarroWebTech magazine, this award recognized Rotoflex International as a long-established, innovative and pioneering company; instrumental in continuously developing the science and technology of the label industry.

Rotoflex International celebrated its 35 year anniversary in 2008 by developing and introducing the latest technologies in servo die cutting, security and inspection solutions and digital finishing products into its robust product line. The advancements pioneered by Rotoflex in the converting industry did not go unnoticed and at the end of that year, Rotoflex International was acquired by Mark Andy Inc, a solid move on behalf of the industry leading press manufacturer to expand its brand portfolio to include the industry leading line of offline finishing solutions.

The combination of Mark Andy and Rotoflex has proven beneficial to both brands, providing the opportunity to leverage engineering and technical resources to further develop state of the art solutions in die cutting and press-to-finishing system communication technologies.

40 years. 8000 installations. True performance.
